Pandora Radio....

I have had a Pandora Radio station set up on my computer at work for a while. However, during a period of time, my allegiance to Pandora had somewhat switched to Yahoo online radio. This was simply due to the fact that on Yahoo, I could pick my specific artist and place them in the mix. My station was a conglomeration of music genres, to say the least. The station consisted of artists such as Barbara Dennerlein for yummy organ performances; Commissioned for my old school kicks; The Crabb Family for the days I felt southern; Walter Hawkins when I felt like some "real" soulful choir tunes; Jonny Lang and Glenn Kaiser for the bluesy moments; CLC for pentecostal choirs from back in the day; The Clark Sisters for moments when my harmonizing skills needed a workout and this list could seriously go on...........and on! Now, Yahoo has changed their radio format and one cannot set up their own station anymore (ugh, Yahoo!).

Therefore, the search began for a new station to play at work that would combine some of my favorite genres of music and keep it real. This is extremely vital you see, for I am known on my campus for the gospel music or preaching that students hear around my desk. God has allowed me to work in a place where this is allowed and I am incredibly thankful. The music that has played across my desk and the live feed from conferences such as "No Limits" have created MULTIPLE opportunities for me to reach out to students. My most recent baby in the Lord was won as a result of his stopping at my desk to ask me if "that was gospel music they heard playing at my desk?!?" ;) Thank you Jesus for Bro. Stephen Lewis who will be, and already is being, mightily used of God on our Campus.

In the process of identifying a new radio station for work, I finally caved and joined the world of blackberryites. In other words, my most recent cell phone purchase has been a Blackberry Curve. While setting up all of my cool little applications one of my bestest buddies, who also happens to be my amazing Sis-in-Love, STRONGLY encouraged me to download the Pandora application to my phone! Upon doing so, I remembered that I had a Pandora station/site already set up. Voila....not only did I now have the wonderful genome project on my phone, I would also use it for work. Therefore, I now have Pandora Radio on my phone and once again use it on my work computer.

My most recent station to be set up is an Israel Houghton station, with my options set to include some of my other favorite artists of all time. This week has been the week of worship music, as this station has been used of God to create an atmosphere of worship at my desk . It's summertime and incredibly quiet, so music is a must for a reasonably productive work day. ;) Worship music is even more vital. I have wept this week, I have worshipped, I have sang, I have jigged around my work-space, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my re-introduction to Pandora. God is so amazing! It is wonderful how he is not restricted by space, by time, by an environment that is so incredibly carnal, or by the parameters of our finite mind. Thank you Lori Lynn, for reminding me of this great radio project. Whether anyone else really likes it or not, it has truly been a blessing to me. Oh and by the way, did I mention in this post that I really love Pandora!?! ;) Check it out....Pandora.
