Missin' the Rockies........

Colorado was a blast! We went non-stop from Morning til' night and did so much stuff we could hardly keep track of it all. The weather was perfect; not too hot, neither too cold. Elitches was fun, even though it taught me that just because I feel 16 on the inside does not mean that my physical man is still 16. I felt every single one of the rides through the rest of the week.

I am a roller coaster freak, so enjoyed getting banged and knocked around during the ride. Everyone was kind enough to ignore the groans and moans of a young at heart, old lady the next day.:) Nah....it wasn't all that bad.

The mountains were beautiful! I have to admit that I became very homesick and did not want to come back here when the trip was over. Just the view and the accessibility of nature is such a huge draw for someone who truly loves the outdoors. We took a train ride by the upper rim of the Royal Gorge. Such majestic beauty is awe inspiring to say the least. Then, on to Buckskin Joes to experience the gravity defying architecture of the Mystery House. Needless to say we got many laughs at and great photos of adults attempting to overcome the odds and conquer the magnetic pull of a tilted room. Pure Craziness....and it was extremely Hilarious!

Church was fabulous. The best part of the whole trip was finding healing for a personal situation that I had been dealing with. God is so completely faithful, it never ceases to amaze me. He knows just what we need to claim complete victory in our life. Every sermon preached was a stepping stone to the sermon to be preached the following night. The 2nd best part of the whole trip was watching the youth group of AFT getting blessed in a powerful way and seeing them band together as a team praying and interceding for one another. God healed so many situations, it was definitely a landmark experience. We had so much fun together and experienced a Holy Ghost refreshing.

Faith has been renewed and now it is time to kick in to gear for revival on the home front. God already started a new thing during Sunday's PM service.

~It's a new season, it's a new day. Fresh anointing is flowing my way. It's a season of power and prosperity. It's a new season and it's coming to me...........

Fall is in the Air......

It is beautiful today. Cloudy with just a hint of sun every now and then and a lovely cool breeze. Everyone keeps saying how humid it is, but they obviously have not been to Texas this summer and experienced real humidity. It is absolutely lovely here compared to that hot and humid craziness down south.

The cousins are down from Tennessee and oh, what fun that has been. The week has consisted of playing 8 1/2 years worth of catching up. It is interesting to see and hear the changes that time tends to wreak upon us all. I told the girls last night that they will need a vacation from their vacation when they get home, but isn't that how it usually works. For me it does, I am always more tired after the fun than before it began, but it is always a "feel good" type of tired.

We took a shopping trip last night to the city and had dinner like we were the queens of the universe. Two cars full with a total of 10 females, a crazy and scary sight. Cars rocking down a highway glassy with rain as lassies rocked and swayed to the soulful tunes of another set of girls speaking their language through song. Cameras flashing like star stalking paparazzi created an aery glow on windows dripping with moisture. The conclusion of the evening was that a new tradition should be made and such occurances should be a monthly requirement. What a blast we had.

Heading out west to the lovely rockies in just a few days. Church will be lovely as usual and the fun will be a forever memory. <3
