Pandora Radio....

I have had a Pandora Radio station set up on my computer at work for a while. However, during a period of time, my allegiance to Pandora had somewhat switched to Yahoo online radio. This was simply due to the fact that on Yahoo, I could pick my specific artist and place them in the mix. My station was a conglomeration of music genres, to say the least. The station consisted of artists such as Barbara Dennerlein for yummy organ performances; Commissioned for my old school kicks; The Crabb Family for the days I felt southern; Walter Hawkins when I felt like some "real" soulful choir tunes; Jonny Lang and Glenn Kaiser for the bluesy moments; CLC for pentecostal choirs from back in the day; The Clark Sisters for moments when my harmonizing skills needed a workout and this list could seriously go on...........and on! Now, Yahoo has changed their radio format and one cannot set up their own station anymore (ugh, Yahoo!).

Therefore, the search began for a new station to play at work that would combine some of my favorite genres of music and keep it real. This is extremely vital you see, for I am known on my campus for the gospel music or preaching that students hear around my desk. God has allowed me to work in a place where this is allowed and I am incredibly thankful. The music that has played across my desk and the live feed from conferences such as "No Limits" have created MULTIPLE opportunities for me to reach out to students. My most recent baby in the Lord was won as a result of his stopping at my desk to ask me if "that was gospel music they heard playing at my desk?!?" ;) Thank you Jesus for Bro. Stephen Lewis who will be, and already is being, mightily used of God on our Campus.

In the process of identifying a new radio station for work, I finally caved and joined the world of blackberryites. In other words, my most recent cell phone purchase has been a Blackberry Curve. While setting up all of my cool little applications one of my bestest buddies, who also happens to be my amazing Sis-in-Love, STRONGLY encouraged me to download the Pandora application to my phone! Upon doing so, I remembered that I had a Pandora station/site already set up. Voila....not only did I now have the wonderful genome project on my phone, I would also use it for work. Therefore, I now have Pandora Radio on my phone and once again use it on my work computer.

My most recent station to be set up is an Israel Houghton station, with my options set to include some of my other favorite artists of all time. This week has been the week of worship music, as this station has been used of God to create an atmosphere of worship at my desk . It's summertime and incredibly quiet, so music is a must for a reasonably productive work day. ;) Worship music is even more vital. I have wept this week, I have worshipped, I have sang, I have jigged around my work-space, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my re-introduction to Pandora. God is so amazing! It is wonderful how he is not restricted by space, by time, by an environment that is so incredibly carnal, or by the parameters of our finite mind. Thank you Lori Lynn, for reminding me of this great radio project. Whether anyone else really likes it or not, it has truly been a blessing to me. Oh and by the way, did I mention in this post that I really love Pandora!?! ;) Check it out....Pandora.

This has to be one of the funniest comics ever..... :D

Fishing......

Went fishing with a good friend last night. We didn't get a single thing, not even a mosquito bite (thank the Lord!), but, we sure had fun. Watching bugs hit the water, turtles eat our worms, reminiscing about good times past; then finishing the night off with Sonic, relaxing to a gorgeous sunset and taking a country ride....... God has blessed me with some pretty special people in my life and I am so grateful. Summer nights, beautiful sunsets, country rides, awesome church families, lemon-berry slushes and real, down to earth people are the best.......

Young People with a Message.....

Youth who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe are some of the most impressive individuals in our society, to me. I love young people who are not ashamed to proclaim their belief in God, in truth, in integrity and in holding to the values that mean so much to them.

These young men have a message to share and although rap is not really my thing, my cap is off to them for taking a stand......

I love it because despite their education, they have not sucked up, swallowed and bought into all of the humanistic and socialistic doctrines their teachers have indoctrinated them with. Do I sound a little cynical about education? Possibly because this is my 7th year working in that realm and I can guarantee you God is not at the top of the list of secular education's favorite things to teach. Neither is conservatism, morality, and good values. All I have to say is "get on down with your bad selves!" ;)

Life.....

.....has taken some seriously unforseen twists and turns this year. I am curious to see where all of this shall end. One thing I am extremely thankful for....and that is that Jesus has been right beside me through it all. That simple fact assures me that everything is going to be okay in the end. :)

Precious Memories.....

It has been my mission this past few months, or year, to preserve the incredible legacy left for my family by my grandmother. My sister and I have been making an effort to devote our Monday nights to spending time with Grandma. We usually do dinner and spend the evening visiting, reminiscing and sharing sweet moments with her. I have recorded her once regarding her mission's trips, but hope to do so some more. Also, it is my desire to instill in my nieces and nephews the importance of gleaning as much wisdom, history, insight and information as possible. In addition, through our example, it is my hope that they will understand how important it is to put the time and effort into preserving a relationship and special moments with our elderly loved ones.

Many times the elderly become frail and become an after thought to their families. It is my hope that we and the generations to come will understand how precious those who have lead the way truly are, and how important of a role they play in the structure of our future. Children place parents in care homes sometimes because there is a true need for additional care. However, many times children also place their parents in care homes because it makes life more convenient for them to live their lives, without having to take the extra time to care themselves.

This week my niece, Tori, is visiting me and spending the week with me. Last night, we went to dinner with Grandma. We had the incredible priviledge of hearing her share stories of her grandfather, whom they still have not determined whether he was truly a Nazi sympathizer or a U.S. spy. We heard the sweet story of our Great Aunt Grace, who was the 1st in the patriarchial side of the family to come to this precious faith, who played a role in the apostolic revival during the Azusa era, and who evangelized all over the west and midwest when it was still a seriously rough territory. We were the awed recipients of the inspiring story of a wealthy woman, who gave up her riches to follow the calling of God in her life. It was our honor to hear of the woman who shared with my Grandmother the story behind her amazing self-portrait of her ugly inner man, and repainted the portrait specifically for my grandmother to use as a teaching tool on her missionary and evangelical journeys.

I hope to post photos eventually of that self portrait, which so strongly impacted my life as a thirteen year old and made me weep in repentance at the ugliness of my own heart. This gripping portrait still stands out in my mind and comes to my memory today through the moments where I search my heart and spirit before the Lord. Any future opportunities to teach youth that the Lord allows me, I will carry this portrait with me and teach, at some point in time, how sometimes we very possibly look through the eyes of God. My sister taught with this portrait to children in our Sunday School months ago. The Holy Ghost fell so strong and filled the room with such a heavy spirit of repentance that even the young children were crying out to God to clean up their inner self.

After dinner, we went to Grandma's house and just visited for a while. I love her even more, the more time I spend with her. Tori enjoyed herself and I'm thankful that she was able to be with us also. The memories she takes with her from Grandma are an important part of her heritage also. We said our goodbyes and then headed home. However, we had to take a detour because we suddenly got a summer craving for a snow cone. We ended the night with green and blue mouths and another fun memory. :) I love my family mucho........

American Capitalism gone with a Whimper....

I received this article this morning and cringed to my guts when I read it. It is a sad, sad day when a Russian journalist is admonishing Russian business owners to run from the increasingly Marxist and Socialistic government creating a "Red America." We got change America, the majority voted for it and we definitely got it! Now Obama is getting overwhelmingly drunk on his own sense of power to the point that he is trying to throw his slimy weight around with Israel..... My heart sings the song....."It won't be long....and we'll be leaving here, It won't be long and we'll be going home." Read below, and believe it. One thing I have found this year, through working in education America, is that whether we like it or not, or believe it or not, Marxism is fully at work in our nation!

This article is for your information. Please read.

Note from Don Wildmon: For years I have refused to use words such as Marxism, socialism or similar words when describing our current situation. However, it is time to call a spade a spade, regardless of how those who oppose us label us. Rome is burning. The article below was written by Stanislav Mishin, a blogger and columnist for the Russian newspaper Pravda.

American capitalism gone with a whimper . . . . .

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us (Russia) about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blinds the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox (Russian Orthodox) churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
